It has been quite a year for us here at Yarn Stories. I was looking back over all the patterns we have launched in 2015 and realised how many of them I want to make – pretty much all of them but then I am biased!
Our extraordinary designers from all over the world have created some delicious designs. If you are having problems choosing which one to cast on, we have had a quick show of hands around the office to offer you our favourites.
Pleach by Lily France is first because it is such an intriguing pattern, simple to knit but it really holds your interest. Jo is on her third! We’re convinced she is working her way through the shade card.
If you want to make something for a younger member of the family; we love Shingle which is a lovely textured cardigan with cabled pockets and quirky back detail by Sue Batley Kyle.
For those of you who love Fair Isle and all things Nordic we recommend Stellar. Emma Wright has used a really interesting palette of colours to give the traditional patterns a very modern feel.
If you are a fan of crochet we love Sasha Kagan’s deceptively easy scarf called Onyx. A crochet mesh is then adorned with lengths of yarn for a woven effect.
Katya Frankel created Amelia for us - a lovely top down jumper with just the hint of Fair Isle at the bottom and cuffs.
The garment we all fight over in our sample box is Quicksilver by Charlotte Johnson. The meandering cables on the front are very flattering and the grown on neck is perfect for this time of year.
Because it was so hard to choose just one pattern we thought we would throw it open to you to vote for your favourite. To add to the fun, everyone that votes will be entered in to a giveaway to win the yarn and pattern to make the winning design.
